Autumn Textile Wreath Workshop
Learn to make a beautiful, country living style textile autumn wreath
Time & Location
24 Aug 2024, 10:30 – 13:30
Dunster Memorial Hall, Memorial Hall, 17 High St, Dunster, Minehead TA24 6SF, UK
About the event
Tutor: Alison Hall
During this workshop, you will learn how to make a high-quality wool felt wreath, which can be used as a permanent autumn decoration year after year. You will learn how to cut, sew and hand stitch seasonal felt flowers and how to attach them to a natural vine wreath. The tutor will teach different methods of how to create a textile wreath, after which you get to choose the style and colours - and create your very own, bespoke wreath.
The workshops include tuition, all materials and the use of tools needed for creating a large, 10 inch wreath. During the class you can also enjoy a selection of locally blended Exmoor teas and a scrumptious slice of gluten-free Dunster-made cake - if you can tear yourself away from your masterpiece.
Each workshop has room for only 12 participants, so reserve your space in order to avoid disappointment!
Proceeds of the workshops go equally towards helping to fund the Dunster Winter Festival, the upkeep of the Dunster Museum & Doll Collection and the Dunster-based community sewing club 'Knit and Knatter'.
